The Office of the Ombudsman organized an appreciation breakfast for the Department of Correction staff of Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center on September 10th, 2024. Breakfast became a much better celebration when at least fifteen retirees from the Department of Correction participated by cooking, providing breakfast foods, and by showing up to participate. It was an excellent sharing of breakfast with current and retired staff of the DOC. It was a great way to start a day! Thank you to all who helped or stopped to visit!
The Office of the Ombudsman plans on continuing to offer appreciation meals/snacks across the other DOC facilities – one at a time. We will invite and encourage retirees to continue to come and make the experience better for everyone.
